Can I make changes to my order?
Yes. If you need to make changes to your order, prior to delivery, call our Call Center 1-281-550-7885 or send us a quick email [email protected] and we will be happy to assist with the changes you require. Unfortunately, our online shopping cart does not allow customers to make changes after an order has been submitted, but we are happy to help.
How far ahead should I place an order?
Ordering as early as possible is the best way to assure you will be able to rent the items you want. During peak travel periods, such as holidays, special events or vacation season, it is important to order several weeks or more ahead as we sell out of many items. We try to accommodate last minute orders when possible, although it isn't always possible, so advance orders are encouraged. Please Note - Rockabye does NOT have retail showrooms to "shop" for rental items. All our items are pictured and described on our online shopping site, and orders can be placed online or by phone. All orders must be paid before items are reserved for an order and delivery scheduled; unpaid orders are Tentative and subject to being rented for other orders. Paid orders are Confirmed, meaning equipment is reserved specifically for the order and is removed from available rental over the same rental dates.
What if my order is last minute?
Orders placed within 48 hours of delivery are charged a $20 Rush Fee on the entire order (not per item). If you are submitting a short notice order, In addition to placing an online order, please call our office at 1-281-550-7885 to assure availability of the items and that we have personnel available to fulfill the order. When placing a short notice order, flexibility is the key to a happy rental! Please understand that we already have orders prepared and customers scheduled, so we will fit in last minute orders as best we can in the schedule. If we do not have an item available, our call center representative can view available items and offer potential substitutions. Please, do not expect delivery if you have not provided payment. All orders must be confirmed prior to delivery. Our delivery staff does not carry cash and may not collect payments.
Is there a minimum rental order?
Yes. Rockabye has a $40 minimum rental requirement.
How is the equipment cleaned?
Our equipment is professionally cleaned with organic cleaners that kill viruses, bacteria, mildew, fungus, bedbugs and lice, as well as sanitizing for bodily fluids. In addition, mattresses and hard surfaces are steam sanitized to assure all items are as clean as possible prior to a rental. Where possible, items are bagged once dry to keep them as dust free as possible.
How long have you been in business?
Rockabye Baby Rentals has been in business since 2006. We started our service in Houston, Texas and have grown to other areas as our family has grown and settled in other areas.
Can you install car seats?
We cannot install car seats. While many of our representatives are certified child passenger safety technicians (CPST), it is against the terms of our insurance for liability reasons. We provide a link to the manufacturers installation manual for each car seat rental, and are happy to provide customers a link to an installation video to review prior to the rental. You may request a printed manual for an additional fee.
Is the equipment new?
All Rockabye equipment is purchased new for our rental business. However, due to the nature of our business, customers should expect to receive previously rented items which may show some signs of use. All items are fully cleaned and maintained in good rental condition. We do not offer refunds following delivery for clean and fully functional items simply because they are not new out of the box.
What if I need to cancel?
Order Cancellation after confirmation and payment - Cancellation outside 5-days prior to delivery date will receive a full refund minus a $20 processing fee. Cancellation between 5-days and 2-days prior to delivery date will receive a 50% refund of total order. Cancellation within 2-days of scheduled delivery or On-Site cancellation, No-Show for Airport Meet & Greet and/or No-Show for Self Pickup will not be refunded. Items not returned on scheduled return date will continue to incur rental daily charges.
Don't hotels have cribs?
Most hotels offer some type of sleeping option for small children on a first come first served basis, but not all. You should always ask. Many hotels only offer Mini Cribs or Pack N Plays, which are not appropriate for children over 35-lbs or approximately 18-months-old. Most hotel staffs cannot tell you the dimensions of their cribs, nor do they have any information regarding the cleaning or maintenance of the cribs. Some baby rental companies claim that wood cribs are superior to metal, or that hotels use adult sized sheets, or that 3" mattresses are not as comfortable as 5". That simply isn't the case any longer. Hotels are held to the same crib standards that baby equipment rental companies, therefore by law they must offer a fitted crib sheet with every crib. Metal cribs actually tend to be sturdy longer than wood and hold up better to the movement from room to room. Either way both wood and metal cribs, as long as they are maintained, cleaned, and inspected are just fine and do not impact a child's comfort. Mattresses for mini cribs do tend to be flimsy vinyl covered foam. However, many customers prefer our 3" vinyl covered memory foam mattresses to the standard 5" inner spring mattresses when it comes to comfort. Rockabye has both options in inventory. The change in US crib safety laws in 2011 is the exact reason many hotels no longer offer full size cribs.
